Ardagh Suites was originally an 18th century home with coach house and out buildings that has been tastefully converted to a very high standard whilst still maintaining its charming appeal. It now consists of 5 separate holiday units - The Coach House sleeping 7, The Cottage sleeping 5, The One Bed Apartment sleeping 2 as does The Studio and The Ground Floor Apartment. These can be booked in any combination to facilitate large parties. It is situated on a working farm 1 mile from the village of Riverstown, County Sligo. You could also visit our local heritage sites of Carrowkeel and Carrowmore or for the more energetic maybe a climb up Benbulben or Knocknarea to Queen Maeve's tomb and afterwards enjoy the music and 'craic' in one of the local hostelries. The garden area, patio with BBQ, picnic benches, games facilities and kayaks are available to all our clients.
“Great time. Accommodation was first class and beat all our expectations. The kids will miss the place and the fun they had with new friends. The river fun was the icing on the cake which Michael made extra special with the Kayaking. We all were impressed, recommend to everyone, plan to return, love Sligo and will use Michael’s place again.”
The Studio is in a beautifully restored old building in an idyllic setting, modern but still in keeping. Close to lovely lakes, extraordinary megalithic sites and within an easy drive of Glencar, Ben Bulben and all the other beautiful places of Sligo and Leitrim. Michael made us feel truly welcome – there was even milk in the fridge and a selection of home-made cake and biscuits.
We look forward already to the next time we come up your driveway and hopefully we will have the kids with us. Outstanding location, great people, food and drink – what more can we say?
Thank you Michael for the warmth of your welcome, your friendliness and helpfulness throughout our stay. We really enjoyed our holiday here.
“Thanks for a great setting for a wonderful holiday. We relaxed, walked, read, ran and now we are going home chilled!! Hope to be back again, there is still loads we would like to see and do in the area, thanks to your great advice.”
“The highlight so far!! Hospitality and friendship appreciated and the special trips to local places to visit. Comfortable and tastefully fitted out accommodation. Area beautiful and with sadness we move on.”
“A lovely holiday in a breathtaking place with a perfect home! The kids enjoyed the Pool Table lessons and quad biking! We’d love to come back.”
Thanks for another fabulous break in your special place. Loved it the first time, loved it even more the second! It’s really a home from home. Our friends adored the place too. We will all be back again. Thanks so much.
“Hi Michael, it took 3 years but we made it back, and as with our first welcome it was warm, friendly and inviting. The kids couldn’t wait to return and neither could we. The place just keeps getting better and we loved the cottage. We will be back – again.”
“If we could pick this place up and take it home with us we would. Thank you for all your help during our stay and your typical Irish hospitality. We definitely will be back here in the future.”
